Description Martin Droessler 2009-10-26 09:44:31 UTC
Version: 2.1 (using KDE 4.3.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Files without Metadata are listed in the Collection-Tree in the path "unknown/unknow" (if the sort-filter is "Artist / Albumname"). Those files are listed with its filenames.

If you type the name of one of those files in the search-box, it will disappear from the tree-list. So I guess, the search only finds tracks with metadata, but not files without, even if the filename matches the search-term.

I can't imagine, that this behavior is supposed to be like this.

AFAIK that's known, but it's more like "not yet implemented" than "bug". Changing to wish.

I think this should be marked as a duplicate of https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=101816
Comment 5 Myriam Schweingruber 2010-02-16 10:19:29 UTC
This is fixed since quite some time: Try typing filename: <string> or name: <string> (without the <>, of course).

Ned, this is certainly not a duplicate of bug 101816, since this here is about the CollectionBrowser, the other is about the FileBrowser.
