*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 200596 *** Myriam, are you sure?. Bug 200596 was reported by me and is related to read ID3 tags. This one is relate to a real CD with a different infrastructure and reading method. And I compiled Amarok with Cesar García patch and the patch don't solves this problem but fix ID3 encoding detection bug. Probably is a bug in encoding detection, there is more in other parts in Amarok, for example in Shoutcast streams, but not all are the same bug :). Myriam, any news Myriam, I reactivate this bug again for reason explained in comment #2. (In reply to comment #4) > Myriam, I reactivate this bug again for reason explained in comment #2. OK, there is just nothing I can do about that, and Peter is already very busy. Could you please upgrade to a newer Amarok version and test again? Current is Amarok 2.4.0, Amarok 2.4.1 is to be released tomorrow. Please report back. Bug is not fixed in 2.4.0 version. I don't use Amarok anymore but I will try to test this bug at least in 2.4.1 when packages will be available. Rhank you for the fast feedback. This is an automated message from the triager: Amarok 2.4.1 has been released on May 8 already. Could you please upgrade and test if you can still reproduce this bug? Without feedback within a month we will close this bug as resolved. Thank you for your understanding. Bug still not fixed in Amarok 2.4.1. I done the test with the Japanese CD and additionally with a Korean CD: 雨天決行 (Takada Kozue) - 高田梢枝 (Uten Kekkou), the Japanese one http://www.yesasia.com/global/uten-kekko-japan-version/1004941751-0-0-0-en/info.html Brown Eyed Girls - Brown Eyed Girls 1st : Your Story:, the korean one http://www.last.fm/music/Brown+Eyed+Girls/Your+Story Thank you for the fast feedback :) Setting appropriate component. Reporters, 2.5 and 2.6 beta was released, can you please test the bug is still there and reopen if yes? Thanks. Again, bug it's not magically fixed. I presume this is still valid with Amarok 2.7? Yes What is the status on this one in 2.8? The same Created attachment 88233 [details]

Audex working right and Amarok failing with encoding.
Bug was not fixed Thank you for the feedback. I had a similar problem in the past with a Russian CD not displaying the Cyrillic characters correctly, might be the same bug: bug 320388 *** Bug 320388 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
