Where are the duplicate messages, in your imap inbox or your pop3 one ? If it's an IMAP account, please also tell us whether there are filters enabled. - If it's online imap w/ filters: this bug is a duplicate of bug 95064 - If it's online imap without filters, that's likely a duplicate of bug 118074 - If it's the pop3 account, this may be a duplicate of bug 187070 Copied were in the POP account ibox, but i haven't got any on IMAP recently, so i dont really know if it works on IMAP too. IMAP w/o filters Now freezes few seconds after i turn the settings on and 100% freeze when serching for antispam software with wizard, it always crashes on spamassasin. After examination - also always crashes on POP email download - during fetch. IMAP works perfectly. OK - kmail freezes when spamd is on, but the port is closed by iptables. There should be an error REJECT or DROP in iptables? If it is DROP does KMail spring back into life after the TCP timeout? POLICY DROP on INPUT and how to check the second one? i waited some time, and kde says that kmail is not responding, do i want to kill the process? (In reply to comment #7) > POLICY DROP on INPUT Do you get the same error if you change into REJECT? > and how to check the second one? i waited some time, and kde says that kmail is > not responding, do i want to kill the process? No not for about 5-10 minutes, make sure that the interval check is off or at a longer interval. > No not for about 5-10 minutes, make sure that the interval check is off or at a

it's not answer to my question
Excuse me for being blunt but what part of "no" is not an answer to your question? You might be able to see if KMail is waiting for the network connection using netstat. i left it for 30 minutes, it haven't came back to work. question was "how to check it" The duplicate probably comes from the POP3 account. The mails are not marked as downloaded (because of the freeze). Concerning the freeze - have you tried to deactivate ipfilters just for checking whether they are the cause? yes, i tried and they are the problem, i had to let the traffic from localhost, because the spamassasin bot was blocked by iptables. I didn't have problems from that moment (like 6 months ago). okay, so the only fault kmail has here is that it does call the spamfilter without a timeout Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report. KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2. We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback. |
