I discovered, that this only occurs, if you enter an website address without prepending a www. or a http:// to it Example vfb.de On Thursday 30 July 2009 14:37:24 Panagiotis Papadopoulos wrote: > https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=201906 > > > > > > --- Comment #1 from Panagiotis Papadopoulos <pano_90 gmx net> 2009-07-30 > 14:37:24 --- I discovered, that this only occurs, if you enter an website > address without prepending a www. or a http:// to it > > Example > vfb.de Perhaps something proxy related, then.. I do not use any proxies. My "discovery" about sites that have no prepended http:// or www. seems to be wrong... This also happens with "regular" URLs On Friday 31 July 2009 15:52:25 Panagiotis Papadopoulos wrote: > https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=201906 > > > > > > --- Comment #3 from Panagiotis Papadopoulos <pano_90 gmx net> 2009-07-31 > 15:52:03 --- I do not use any proxies. > My "discovery" about sites that have no prepended http:// or www. seems to > be wrong... > This also happens with "regular" URLs Sorry, it's my fault. When I wrote "proxy" I was thinking about DNS.. ;) hmm... Since I don't have this issue with other Webbrowsers, there must be something wrong in rekonq itself... No since there were some fixes in rekonq and the kio_http stuff, this "freeze" only happens, when https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=205163 is triggered This happens to me only when right clicking and opening a URL in a new tab, but not always. It has always happened (since 0.1) and still does with 0.2.90. This is with KDE 4.3.2 by the way. On Friday 30 October 2009 10:43:26 Grigorios Bouzakis wrote:

Thanks for this useful information. We'll investigate about :)
I'm quite sure I understood the problem :) I'm working to fix it *** Bug 205592 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** ok tested the latest rekonq code and it seems like this has been really fixed! Awesome :-) Grigorios, could you give this a try too? If you also can confirm it, we can safely close this :-) I cant test this at the moment because git has been needing QT >= 4.6 for a while and i have 4.5.3 installed. But FWIW i asked another person using a more recent QT and told me he hasnt had any issues like that. You guys should know better anyway. Feel free to close this. Thanks! :) *** Bug 215059 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
