Hi, I just noticed the same is true not only for VPN connections, but for network changes in general. For example, connecting to WiFi, then plugging in a LAN cable and disconnect the WiFi will also kill KMail's IMAP connection. -- I guess it'd be a good idea to change the bug title here, but I can't seem to find the button for that.
