Description stm 2009-04-01 16:35:16 UTC
Version: unknown (using 4.2.1 (KDE 4.2.1) "release 106", KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop / openSUSE_11.1)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.27.7-9-default

The battery icon grows with the width (or height) of the panel. It usually takes up way to much space. It should be an _icon_, i.e., at most 48x48. Same goes for a few other widgets, too, I suppose but I can't list them all.

I can confirm this is specially true on vertical panel where the width is usually larger.
See screenshot.

(i'd personally wish to put the applet alongside with the systemtray icons)
Comment 3 Vincent Petry 2009-05-11 16:11:49 UTC
Agreed. It's a common problem with other applets as well, for example the network manager applet, which I also liked to have in the system tray.

I fired a more general bug about this:
