This request still stands for the latest Kopete from KDE 4.3.4. A workaround, thought not preferable, is to use TinyURL. What I am trying to get back as a feature was when I would send a link, it would automatically convert it from a link to the word "link" which was a hypertext link. That was really nice for things such as Google Maps and their obscenely long links. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 227698 *** My apologies. I updated the wrong bug.
