I'm not a fan of context menus. What do you think of a triangular expander? "What?", you may ask. Please see this mockup I which I made a long time ago: http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/Extender%3A+Mounted+Devices?content=53086 (Press "Download" for an explanation in my poor English. :D) Note that the a new mounted device's actions are automatically expanded. I posted this in Alexis' blog but don't know if he noticed it or not. This should be handled by file associations. If you go to file associations in System Settings (under "Advanced"), you will see an "inode" type. I managed to change the default file browser to Konqueror by changing the settings on the "inode/directory" type; maybe you will have to change "inode/mountpoint" in your case though. But the real bug is that "Default applications" is missing a "File browser" option. As well as allowing switch between Konqueror and Dolphin, this would allow crazy things like using Nautilus, Firefox, a terminal emulator, or even the Midnight Commander. *** Bug 178488 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** the behaviour has been fixed; the visible string is waiting on 4.3 when we can change user visible strings again. *** Bug 181257 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** fixed in 4.4 |
