Version: (using Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources I think the device notifier applet is a great improvement over the old, annoying device window that was in KDE 3 and still is in Windows. However, when there is more than one action for a device and you click on that device in the applet, you still get the old window. This window tends to be pretty far from the applet, meaning you have to move your mouse all the way over there, and isn't really part of plasma. I think instead that when you click on an icon the list of actions should appear inside the applet. One possible way is that when you click on it the entry expands to give you a list of actions for it. This would take up a lot of space if there is more than a few actions. Another option is that something like a right-click menu appears allowing someone to click on an action, but this doesn't fit with plasma very well. What I consider the best option would be for list of entries to slide out to either the left or the right of applet (depending on which side of the screen it is), having the same general appearance is the device notifier but listing actions instead of devices. There should also be some sort of visual indication as to which device the actions correspond to.

This bug does not look at all related to that bug. That bug is a request to allow users to change the default association of the device notifier, this bug is a request to change the existing "Open With" dialog box so it appears as part of the applet.
