I don't know if closing Konqueror would make the tabs open even slower, I get the ~2 second delay even with Konqueror open. I guess the delay is there to wait for KHTML to have the page open. However I think it's bad usability-wise, ideally I think the tab should open instantly and if necessary, show a blank page until there's something to show, to give the user immediate feedback for clicking a link. There was a similar bug for Konqueror some years ago, BTW. I don't know if this is better in KDE 4, since I don't use it yet... Opening tabs is slow in KDE 4 too (look at bug #193682) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 174302 *** |
