If this is still an issue, and you can compile from source, please check out and try the SVN version at branches/work/kooka-kde3. This allows the device to be manually entered in the case where kooka cannot detect it automatically; either specify it on the command line with the '-d' switch, or use the new "Add Scan Device" menu option. If the scanner works with xscanimage, then the sane-find-scanner command should be able to report it; enter the results and that should work! Using this bug to collect all of the "my scanner isn't detected" reports. If scanning works with xsane or scanimage, this means that Sane can find the scanner and supports it. See comment #1 for a resolution to try with Kooka. *** Bug 118945 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 122322 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 57468 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 103465 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** See also bug 148202 and bug 115916. *** Bug 110338 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Fixed in development (SVN) version and KDE4 port.
