Description Matthias 2006-05-14 00:43:57 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc (GCC) 3.4.5 (Gentoo 3.4.5-r1, ssp-3.4.5-1.0, pie-8.7.9)
OS: Linux

Ok, i just wanted to set up my (imap) eMail accounts in kmail. You know that here are multipl login technologies to choose from, like simple text, LOGIN. etc. So when i chose "LOGIN", kmail first asked me for a password, so i typed the password. Then it told me that kio_imap4 had been compiled without SASL support, so i had to click OK. And then, it asked me for a password again, and when you enter it, you'll get again the message about kio_imap4 and so on. Because these are all modal dialogs, i can't get to the options menu and turn "LOGIN" off again, and when I start kmail again, it'll immediately prompt me for a bloody password!
I can't get my email, i can't change the settings back, this is just sooooooo stupid!! This is probably the most annoying and avoidable bug i've ever seen!

Please watch the language, people spend their own free time to code the software you use.
