Target milestone: KDE4. I am very close to fulfilling thsi wish. Related to this wish, my motherboard has 4 digital channels that are sent via optical digital output. Master volume doesn't have effect on those. What i would like to see, is a configuration option to be able to link all 4 VIA DXS sliders to the keyboard master volume up/down keys, so they can be controlled simultaneously. Either using absolute percentage values, or relative to the current volume of each channel, this could perhaps be configurable? Via alsamixer or gkrellm volume plugin i can control them individually, which is sometimes nice, but most of the time i need to set volume globally for all sound using programs, which is a pain with four separate sliders, that also change places depending on in which order the sound devices are opened. So in short: one keyboard shortcut to control many devices. Global shortcuts currently don't do the trick. Feature is postponed. A workaround is usually to use PCM as Master device. Doesn't work for everybody, but works for most users like a charm. *** Bug 176339 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 210265 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 155262 *** |
