Please clarify if it's the GPG password for signing emails you're talking about, or a password for an SMTP server. It's the password for the SMTP-server. Possibly this bug is related to http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97139#c13 and/or http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99911#c2 that means if sending fails KMail forgets the password too. the problem went away after installing the crypto packages. Didn't have such problems for some time anymore. When the password is not saved without crypto support that maybe a feature - not a bug. Please report back if this is still a problem for you. |
