The icons in the system-tray do not display tooltips any more. I can't tell exactly when this started, I had tooltips switched off. I activated them again today and noticed the problem. Tooltips in kicker are there, including the handle of systray, but the icons in systray show no tips (tested with klipper, knotes, kppp, kget).
CVS updated today, made a make clean in my build directory.

the system tray icons are not part of kicker. they are part of each individual application. as such they follow the global desktop setting for tooltips. yes, this sucks. with KDE4 we hope to have a new system tray spec that doesn't suck quite as much =)
