Description Nathan Toone 2004-12-22 01:36:48 UTC
Version: (using KDE Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources

It would be really nice to be able to create a subfolder in kmail that is in "compressed maildir" format. That is, it's a maildir format inside a tar.gz file - which then uses the gz:// ioslave to pull and put new files inside of it...

This would be especially useful for archive folders...

I would recommend zip instead of targz. Why? Because finding files is faster, given that the directory index is not compressed.

I have done some local tests, but I have not tried to write code yet.

bug #95611 is duplicate of bug #48217 and bug #79357. bug #79357 seems to have received the most feedback.
