Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.1) Installed from: Gentoo Packages OS: Linux This would be *very* useful to have for easy chatting inside a LAN: Every Kopete client has a built-in plugin that is both server and client. It uses a broadcasting scheme to discover other Kopete instances on the same LAN. Every user on the LAN that uses this plugin will instantly pop up in the buddy lists of all other users on the LAN. This would be especially useful to enable companies to allow emplyees to chat with each other within the LAN, without needing a server, or direct internet access. Schools could find this useful as well. The plugin could be further enhanced by introducing groups: Only users that know the name of the group they belong to (and possibly a password) can see each other and chat. This will make the plugin useful on large LANs as well.
We already know it's a wish, you don't need to add "Wish:" to the front of the description. Just out of curiousity, how many more of Trillian 3.0's new features do you plan to submit as wishlist items?

> how many more of Trillian 3.0's new features do you plan to submit Well, I planned to submit this a long time ago but I forgot about it. When I saw that Trillian has such a thing, I thought I should submit it immediately before I forget about it again. I don't know how Trillian 3 and RendezVous works, does it also have this group thing? Are there any other IM clients that support RendezVous? And yes, this is the last 'Trillian 3 feature' that I will submit. :)
