Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.2) Installed from: Debian stable Packages Whenever I edit filters (with Settings/Filters...), the shortcut definitions running some named filters (namely "Mark as SPAM" and "Mark as HAM" are forgotten and have to be redefined every time.
Can you check if this still happens with kmail 1.7/kde 3.3?
Sorry, still living with 3.2.2 -- and by following the endless stream of packaging/other problems of Debian packages of any newer version, I do not think, that I upgrade any time soon (moreover, there is no 3.3 package for debian/woody available yet). I will let you know after upgrade. The implementation is still missing. And we won't make it before KDE 3.4.
This is fixed in CVS and will be available with KDE 3.4.

this is still happening in kde3.5 for me. keyboard shortcuts to mark as spam set using configure shortcuts are not saved and are reset upon restarting kontact.
Please set the shortcuts in the filter configuration dialog. Setting them via Configure Shortcuts does not work due to technical limitations of the KDE 3.x kdelibs.

Since this is still (KDE 3.5.8, KMAIL 1.9.6) being regularly tripped over by users (such as myself), perhaps Configure Shortcuts could be adjusted to tell the user that s/he needs to use the filter configuration dialog to set this shortcut, instead of allowing the user to set the shortcut, lose the shortcut, repeat a couple of times, then report a duplicate bug. Or perhaps assign a default shortcut for the Spam/Not spam filters, since that seems to be a popular thing to do. I use the Pause key for Spam, but I'm more concerned that there is some key, not that it has to be that particular key. Also, will this be fixed so it works in Configure Shortcuts in KDE 4? Thanks- Douglas
