Description Carsten Lohrke 2005-12-08 14:25:47 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.0)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

When you add shortcuts for the spam/ham marking toolbar buttons via preferences/shortcuts the next tine you startup KMail, they're gone. When you do it via preferences/filters/... it works, though.

The problem is known but cannot be changed due to technical limits in the KDE
3.x libraries.

Thanks for the quick reply Andreas. No big issue anyways. Just not easily to find out for joe user.

Glad to have found this solution, thanks. However, to me, this counts as a still-open bug, it's not resolved. The bottom line is that you set a keyboard shortcut, which is later forgotten.

If the bug is not fixable (really?), I think it would be an improvement to not list the spam filter actions in the 'Configure Shortcuts' dialog, because it is known that setting them there won't work. At least that may prompt more users to look under the filter options to set the shortcut option there. Though that's still less than ideal of course.

But at least it's working. Thanks for the great app!
