Description Vasilis 2004-05-05 16:28:59 UTC
Version: 3.2.1 (using KDE 3.2.1, Gentoo)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.2 20031218 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.2-r5, propolice-3.3-7)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.5

Hi,

I have created recurring event in Korganizer. The vent started in February second of 2004 and it ends today, May the fifth. This event is recurring every week, but in the "Exceptions" I added a couple of weeks where that event should not reccur. If I click on a day where that event is reccuring, then under the Date&Time box I will see Start: 02/04/04
End: 02/04/04

This is the first day of the event! Also, I have set a reminder to remind me about this event. The message that appears has only one date and which does not change. Guess what? 02/04/04.
Now, the other thing that happens is that the message pop us on days where the event does not take place and again the date is 02/04/04.

In other words. Korganizer gives always the first day of the reccurence and this is because the start and end are wrong.

Thank you,
Vasilis

Hi Vasilis,
Thanks for the bug report.
The issue that the event editor shows the date of the first occurence is actually the intended behavior. After all, the event is really set to be on Feb 4, and then it should occur again weekly. This is just one event! If you edit one of the recurring events, you edit all of them, thus you see the first occurence (okay, I can't explain it that well).
From a user's perspective, you are probably right, though. However, that's the same problem as the alarms, which is already known (bug 24684), but not so easy to fix. And from our programmer's view it is similar to 45757.

The problem of getting alarms even for recurrences has already been fixed in current CVS and will be released in kde-pim 3.3.

Thanks again for the bug report.
