Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.2) Installed from: Compiled From Sources Compiler: gcc 3.2.2 OS: Linux I have a dualhead setup where the right (main) screen is 1280x1024 and the left is 1024x768. When using a hiding panel I find that the panel on the left screen will not unhide when moving the cursor close to the bottom. The right screen works OK except from the fact that the panel on the left screen also unhides together with the righthand one. A hiding external taskbar works OK from both screens, except from both popping up when moving close to the top of the screen.
can you test with 3.3 and report if the behaviour remains? thanks!

Similar bug: I have two monitors that use nVidia's twinview to create a single desktop, identified in KDE Panel layout a Xinerama screen 1 and 2 (though I'm not using xinerama). First what works (thanks, guys -- most of this works great): I can have kicker at the bottom of the first screen or the second screen. If I use the second (bottom) screen and configure autohide, it works as intended. If I use the first (top) screen, I can manually hide the panel with a left or right panel-hiding button -- no problem. What doesn't work: If I turn on autohide when I have kicker at the bottom of the first (top) screen, it doesn't hide. The panel-hiding buttons can be turned on or off, but the panel itself won't hide automatically. To clarify: The first screen is above the second in my setup. So the panel that won't autohide is in a sense in the middle of a single virtual large screen (though I see it physically at the bottom of my top screen). I'm impressed it handles this as well as it does -- this is a very minor glitch. This is KDE 3.4.2, Debian Package 4:3.4.2-4 (testing/unstable)). Dave
I use 1920x1200 on the main screen and 1280x1024 on the secondary. The bars are both auto-hiding, the primary at the top, the secondary at the bottom-right. BUT when I move the cursor to about 1280x1024 on the PRIMARY display, the bar on the SECONDARY display un-hides. Seems it's only checking coord but not screen.

I have the bug described in Bug 119518 as well, though I'm surprised to see that marked as a duplicate of this one, given the date this was reported. Using KDE 3.4.2 from Mandriva 2006.0 I did not have this bug. It wasn't until upgrading to KDE 3.5.4 (MDV 2007.0) that I saw the bug. It persists in KDE 3.5.6 (MDV 2007.1).
3.5.8 -- 'kicker unhides on all screens' is still a problem.

The bug still exists in KDE 3.5.9 and is very annoying. I have following dual screen setup: - Left screen, 1280 x 1024 - Right screen, 1680 x 1050 - XINERAMA is OFF (so every screen is a separate desktop) Problem: The autohiding panel on the left screen won't hide until you any of the four edges of the screen.
Of course i meant "won't hide until you HIT any of the four edges of the screen" Sorry for the mistake.
Even this has been fixed in KDE 4.
This bug still exists in kde 4.8.4. I have dual head, using twinview. The auot-hiding panel is at to top of my left monitor. It appears shortly after reboot, disappears and never returns. A work around is to quickly move the mouse over it when it shortly appears and keep it from disappearing until KDE has done all it's initialization.. After that it just works. 10 years old and counting *sigh*
