At first I thought this would be a wishlist but now I think it's more of a usability/integration bug. In order for me to check for new news or email, I have to switch modules and click on the appropriate toolbar entry (which is different in each module). Note: I can't use timers because I use dimap which still takes too long to sync. This makes the summary page very difficult to use in general because I'm constantly changing away from it. It seems to me that some of these common actions should be integrated across modules in some way, either as common toolbar entries the way "New Mail/Event/etc" is, or perhaps even [also?] in a context menu over the button of the associated module in the button sidebar.
It also would be nice if the following functionality could be achieved: If I'm reading news in knode and want wo write an email to a sender, knode gives me the sluggy knode-internal email function (which I have to configure seperately). Is it possible to use the kmail email-system instead?
Since this is an 2004 bug, will there be something like a "check-all"-button for the summary-toolbar, or is this a wontfix? The knode issue would be a different wishlist item.
