Description Achim Bohnet 2004-03-23 18:08:01 UTC
Version: 1.6.1 (using KDE 3.2.1, (testing/unstable))
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.3 (Debian)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.4-1-686

Hi,

I use 'Date ^' as default sort order of the folder list
(local mbox or maildir folders).
Everytime I sort by subject or sender and then go back
to sort by date again the order is 'Date v' and I have
to always click 3 more times to get 'Date ^' order back.

Looks like default sort order when a column is activated
for sorting is '(Subject|Sender|Date|Size) v'.

I would like to suggest to remember the last search order
of an column and use it when as default order when active
for sorting again. Configuration option would be fine.

I miss this for years now in kmail and decided that I
'suffered' ;) long enough and kindly ask you to consider
my wish.

Achim

Following 'Please review your...' (yes a bit strange for wish lists, practically more like a reminder instead of verifier ;)

Still the same with kmail 1.6.2 from KDE 3.2.2.
