Description Jesper Juhl 2004-01-29 03:06:07 UTC
Version: (using KDE Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
OS: Linux

While I'm typing in some URL in Konquerors Location bar it conveniently displays similar URL's I've visited previously for me to select in a drop-down list. This is a nice feature, but what is not so nice is that while this list is displayed I'm unable to switch to another app with ALT+tab (or bring up a "Run command" window with ALT+F2 and similar). This forces me to either select an URL from the list or finish typing and pressing enter or reach for the mouse to click somewhere to have the drop-down go away before I can do what I wanted. That's not very user friendly.

Btw, I experience this bug with KDE 3.1.95 (aka 3.2RC1) - I couldn't select that when opening the bugreport (latest was 3.2.94, so I went for recent CVS).

You do not have to "select an URL from the list or finish typing and pressing enter or reach for the mouse to click somewhere to have the drop-down". You can close it with Esc.

"You can close it with Esc." - true, but it would still be a lot nicer if I did not have to do anything but could just switch windows with "alt+tab" with the list unfolded.
