Description John van Spaandonk 2004-01-13 22:59:06 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.94)
Installed from: Mandrake RPMs
Compiler: gcc 3.3.x (Mandrake compilation)
OS: Linux

Extremely easy to duplicate, and a serious error for 3.2

goto google.com
Enter a search word.
Select the search word by dragging the mouse from right to left
over the text.
All your keyboard input now is apparently discarded.
It is not possible to enter or modify any text until
you cancel the selection

When you select the word with keyboard input (ctrl-A) it
is possible to replace the word (typng replaces selection).

So there are problems relating to mouse actions in text
fields.

I believe this is a regression w.r.t. 3.1.4 but I'm not
entirely sure of that.
