Description Kevin Pfeiffer 2003-10-10 17:26:39 UTC
Version:            (using KDE KDE 3.1.4)
Installed from:    SuSE RPMs

I think Outlook has this...

1. You click on calendar layout to enter an appointment; this automatically sets a start-time (say 12:15).

2. I want to meet for 1 hr. 30 minutes...

   Now: Do the math in my head (add 90 minutes to 12:15) and choose
        stop time (hope I get it right).

   Better: Select (or enter) "90" in Duration field; KOrganizer sets stop time
        automatically.

This is essentially an inverse function to match how things work now... three variables, you pick two, KOrganizer sets the third.

(Thanks!)

Here is a mockup that I made for my dupe:
http://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=26017

In this mockup you can see the duration as being configurable. Additionally, I switched the locations of the Time Associated and Duration column and the Timezone column. This is because I should imagine Time Associated and Duration being a more common concern than Timezone for most users.

Worksforme for Korganizer (the solution is different than Dotan's suggestion) : When creating an event (calendar view), the event duration is automatically updated.

@Christophe:
You seem to have misunderstood. This bug is requesting that the user could set the duration, and have the end time updated.
