Description Elisabeth Bauer 2003-08-29 11:50:29 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.2)
Installed from: Unspecified Linux
OS: Linux

I use KMail 1.5 on Yellow Dog 3.0 (similar to Red Hat) to connect to a Courier IMAP Server.

I created some subfolders in KMail intended for filtering until I discovered that IMAP filters are not implemented, so I deleted the folders - not in KMail but with another MUA.

Result: the folders are deleted on the server but KMail still shows them. If I try to delete the - nonexisting - folders, I get an error message that this failed.

(Datei imaps://user@host.de:993/INBOX.xxx.techtalk/ konnte nicht gelöscht werden)

I suppose one can manually delete them by deleting their parent .directory-folder in the KMail prefs as a workaround. BTW, the folders were all empty.

I just tested this with kmail from head (kde 3.2) and it works.

I tested this with kmail svn r854573 and it works fine. I created a test folder from kmail, then deleted it using a webmail application and I went back to kmail and clicked on check mail and the test folder was removed as expected.

Just checked with 1.10.3 from Kubuntu packages following the procedure described by George and it works here too. Im closing this.
