Description Rene Horn 2003-08-15 22:22:24 UTC
Version: unknown (using KDE 3.1.3)
Installed from: (testing/unstable)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.1 20030722 (Debian prerelease)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.21

This is a different bug from 45301, which happened on 3.0.1.

This one happens on 3.1.3. At least in Debian unstable it does.

artscontrol won't startup at all, it just crashes when starting up.

I've included the Backtrace:

Comment 1 Gunter Ohrner 2003-09-02 20:51:08 UTC
I just encountered this one too, looks virtually the same. By coincidence my
OS is Debian Unstable as well, and I'm running KDE 3.1.3... Maybe this bug
should better be filed in the Debian BTS? Could any non-Debianer reproduce
this problem?

Greetings,

  Gunter

I have this same problem with SuSE 8.2,
with the RPMs of KDE3.1.3 from SuSE's site.
Comment 3 Bill Johnson 2003-09-23 04:53:09 UTC
I have this also, in Slackware 9.0, KDE 3.1.3
In my case, it's accompanied by the noatun and kaboodle crashes described in bug
63444. Back traces for artscontrol same as here, and for noatun and kaboodle
same as reported in 63444.
Comment 4 Bill Johnson 2003-09-23 06:17:12 UTC
I was running arts 1.1.1 All is well after installing arts 1.1.3
artscontrol, noatun, and kaboodle all work normally.
Comment 5 eric 2003-09-26 23:10:07 UTC
After installing KDE 3.1.4, problem is gone.
So I think this bug can be closed now.
