but xine or mplayer or Kaffeine work fine
Comment 1 Damir Perisa 2003-08-30 02:35:20 UTC
it must be a problem with the qt-libs as much as i can see from the backtrace

i compiled kdemultimedia on a qt=3.2.0 machine and try to run on a qt=3.2.1
(the actual) ... maybe this will help you

Subject: Re: Kaboodle starts and crashes imediately when trying to play something --- Noatun the same behaviour

Can you still reproduce the bug? This looks a bit like an installation problem
(playing media files works just fine for me and about anyone else :} ).

Besides, those two backtraces look quite different, so I don't think they are
related (although maybe caused by the same installation problem).

Comment 3 Damir Perisa 2003-10-15 09:50:21 UTC
ok, i just upgraded to 3.1.4 and the problem was no longer --- i suppose that it was a problem because my 3.1.3 was compiled on an older qt, than running on the 3.1.3 system ... now i run the same qt that compiled 3.1.4 and it works fine
Comment 4 Damir Perisa 2003-10-15 09:50:59 UTC
solved, if you upgrade to 3.1.4
