it must be a problem with the qt-libs as much as i can see from the backtrace i compiled kdemultimedia on a qt=3.2.0 machine and try to run on a qt=3.2.1 (the actual) ... maybe this will help you

This looks a bit like an installation problem (playing media files works just fine for me and about anyone else :} ). ok, i just upgraded to 3.1.4 and the problem was no longer --- i suppose that it was a problem because my 3.1.3 was compiled on an older qt, than running on the 3.1.3 system ... now i run the same qt that compiled 3.1.4 and it works fine
