Version: inconnu (using KDE 3.1.2) Compiler: gcc version 3.2.2 (Mandrake Linux 9.1 3.2.2-3mdk) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.21-0.16mm-mdk Tabs should be closed when you middle-click on them, like in Mozilla. And that would enable to get rid of a close tab icon on individual tabs
I don't agree. Middle clicking closes nothing so far in KDE and it wouldn't be consistent with the current UI.
Coming from Mozilla, I expecterd this behaviour. I reckon it is not consistent, but it would be a definite improvement for the browsing experience, and I cannot see problems arising from this UI enhancement.
Well, I have never used tabs in Mozilla and I would find the behaviour strange if I accidentally middle-clicked a tab and it closed, while it happens nowhere else in KDE. But, then again, this is not my call. There has been anyways a big discussion about the "tab closing problem". If only I remembered what bug report it was...
Sorry this is completely inconsistent with KDE.
Dupe of 48417 - only Window versions of Mozilla behave so by default.
Five years later, closing tabs with the middle mouse button seems to be the norm. I also found bug 48417 and bug 82957. Should I report a new wish, since it doesn't work in Konqueror for KDE 4?
