Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.1) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages OS: Linux How about the option to dock toolbars to the screen edge instead of just the edge of the windows? this'd be kind of similar to some apps on the classic MacOS. It'd also be cool if the screen-docked toolbars could vanish when the app loses focus. Using this method would provide a consistent location for the toolbars, adhere to fitz law and unclutter the desktop by hiding toolbars that the user would never use (i.e. those of an unfocused app). I'm not suggesting making this the default or anything, it's best to let the user decide by dragging and dropping the toolbar. I've opened a thread about this on the usability mailing list and it's got a largely positive response so far: http://lists.kde.org/?l=kde-usability&m=105042227030038&w=2 the thread initially dwelt on docking to the menubar, but better to think of it as docking to any screen edge. Thanks, Alex C-G
