(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: kwin Version: unknown (using KDE 2.2.0 \6alpha2) Severity: wishlist Installed from: compiled sources Compiler: gcc version 2.95.2 19991024 (release) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.0 OS/Compiler notes: Hi I think it would be a really nice and usefull feature if kwin could make windows which are set as toolwindows with the Net thing behave like kicker extensions when they are docked to the screen borders. I mean: If I drag a tool window that way that it snaps to border it uses the complete screen width/height and allocates screen space so a maximized main window doesn't overlap it. Perhaps the window should only dock left/right if the height is bigger thant the width and docked to the top/bottom if it his wider than high Kind regards Joseph Wenninger (Submitted via bugs.kde.org) (Called from KBugReport dialog)

given that KWin support quick tiling on screen edges I consider most of the feature request as implemented and as works for me. Adjusting the window size will become possible with 4.9 through KWin scripting. If the scripting capabilities are not sufficient enough I am more than happy to extend it. I want to thank you for the feature request and I am sorry that it took so long to find a decision on this request.
