Description Petr 2002-11-14 01:19:58 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.0.9)
Installed from: Slackware Packages
Compiler: gcc-3.2
OS: Linux

Using slackware-current tree with KDE 3.1.0 RC2 installed from packages from ftp.slackware.com.

When I start file manager - super user mode it requests me for a root password, then after password is entered the konqueror starts for a second or two and then closes/crashes.

When I run kdesu konqueror in Konsole, this of course also happens, but no error, warning ar any other messages are shown in Konsole.

I have not started KDE as a root yet.

Exactly the same behavior occours on Debian Testing with QT 3.1 and KDE 3.1 RC 5
compiled from source.
