The icons available in Tag Properties are great, but I would like to use my own. Could you add a way for users to add their own icons? If this function is already available, please let me know where I can find it
You can drag and drop an image onto a tag in the main view and set it as the tag thumbnail. Maik

The main view is when digiKam is started. Select a tag in the left sidebar, you can now drag an image from the images onto the tag and set it as a preview. Maik

You cannot drop an external image. It must be an image of your collection from the central view. Maik

If so, that didn't work for me also.
