(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: kdesktop Version: KDE 3.0.0 Severity: wishlist Installed from: Compiled From Sources Compiler: gcc version 2.95.4 20011002 (Debian prerelease) OS: Linux OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified OK I realy think this should be going to kdelibs/base people ... but its not int the list. Anyway My wish for today is .. 4 a better menubar at the top of the screen. @ the moment ... from what I understand the kdelibs just show the bar at the top of the screen if a window gets the focus it sends its menubar to the top and if none(no kdeapps) have the focus .. the desktop one is shown This is how I see it a better one working. a "shell" like app ( sorta like the system tray in kicker) puts its self at hte top. its broken into 3 parts (visually) |__some buttons and stuff ... gotta have the k __|__this is where the menubar gets embeded__|__ some more stuff like clocks and the systray__| and thats all on 1 line :-) if you want me to elaborate on this more ... dont hesitate to send me an email 8-) (Submitted via bugs.kde.org)
