(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: kio-audiocd Version: KDE 3.0.5 CVS/CVSup/Snapshot Severity: wishlist Installed from: Compiled sources Compiler: Not Specified OS: Not Specified OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified Suggestion: instead of Ogg(or MP3)/songtitel.ogg(mp3) use Ogg/"Titel of the CD"/songtitel.ogg This way it would be possible to copy the whole directory with the CDDB name. (like for the .wav). MfG Rainer "physos" Endres (Submitted via bugs.kde.org)
This is part and parcel with the configurability requested in Bug # 36528 - audiocd: just basically needs to be a lot more configurable, if KDE's konqueror is to be able to replace Gnome's Grip... The ability to configure audiocd: to display MP3s and Oggs in different ways, making it easier for the user to have things copied the way they want them, and also to configure it to tag things more flexibly, keeping the user from having to change or edit the tags & filenames after ripping.

is this not a dupe to bug #31883 ???
endres@kde.org Is the current configurability of audiocd sufficiant with the request of this bug to have it be closed?
If the current configuration ability isn't good enough please reopen the bug along the desired feature.
I'm not the bug reporter but I would like to get the bug reopened, cause I was looking exactly for the feature requested in this wish and as of 3.4.0 it isn't still possible do this thing. If I put a / in the file name, in the audio CD KCM, I simply get a filename with a / in it (I think it gets escaped), so it's impossible to create new directories. And a audiocd://ogg/album title/song.ogg format would be really really useful.
Just to confirm Davide's (#7) comment that this is not part of the current 3.4 release. It is possible to configure all kinds of things related to the actual filenames but nothing related to subfolders.
