(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: kpilot Version: KDE 2.2.0 Severity: wishlist Installed from: RedHat RPMs Compiler: Not Specified OS: Linux OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified If you want to use a Palm to store adresses and events in Greek you usually use an extra package called "Greek Win". As far as I know this is actually a Greek grafity "driver" that comes with iso-8895-7 (actually win-1253 grrrr) fonts that replace the original ones. When I sync my pilot with kpilot kpilot tries to convert my greek entries to unicode resulting in entries that look like "?????????" (qmarks). Also althought I can write in greek in korganizer these entries are not transfered to the Pilot. I think the solution would be a generic KPilot option like "Palm Character Set" that would enable the translation between iso-8869-x and unicode. (Submitted via bugs.kde.org) (Called from KBugReport dialog. Fields Application KDE Version OS Compiler manually changed)
Subject: Re: charset conversion from Palm to Kpilot Hi. It's been _ages_ since you filed this bug, and I've finally gotten around to fixing it. Can you look at bug 52138 and 41283? Basically, I think I've fixed it, but I need a database and a screenshot to test with. Then I can easily add the encoding for your Pilot to the KPilot settings.
Subject: Re: charset conversion from Palm to Kpilot Thank you for your bug report. The feature that you requested has been implemented in the latest development (CVS) version of KDE. The feature request will be closed.
