this is related to parley 1.0.0 from Kubuntu "backport" repositories for 4.14.0 ("the new parley")

When I open a collection and immediately press the "Save" button, the Window title changes from "XXX" to "XXX [modified]". On the other hand, adding a new lesson or a new item does not change the window title. 

Probably related is the fact that parley asks me to save collections on exit, even if they have not changed. This is especially confusing when the save dialog appears right after I press the "Open existing collection" button - I am a little worried that one day I will overwrite one of my collections.
