Description Wolf-Michael Bolle 2001-10-04 07:34:14 UTC
(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: konqueror
Version: 3.0 (using KDE 2.2.1 )
Severity: normal
Installed from: SuSE
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (SuSE)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.7-4GB
OS/Compiler notes:

I customized my main toolbar in konqueror to include the "send link" command. I had two windows open at the time and when I closed the window that I called up the customization from (which was itself opened from the other window by calling up a link) I found that the other (=the first) window hadn't updated its toolbar. I checked the toolbar configuration and found my changes so I guess it's just an update problem.

I don't think this is a bug.

When you modify the settings in one instance of an app, these settings will apply only to this instance.
Moreover, if these settings are saved as the default for this app, then they will only apply to the apps you start *after* saving the settings, and not to apps already open at the time of the change.
Note that applicaton-specific settings are not to be confused with desktop-wide settings such as icons, themes, etc.

IMO, this should be closed as invalid.

Hi,

kdelibs (version 4 and earlier) is no longer maintained since a few years.

KDE Frameworks 5 or 6 might already have implemented this wish.

If not, please re-open against the matching framework if feasible or against the application that shows the issue.

We then can still dispatch it to the right Bugzilla product or component.

Greetings
