Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.5)
OS: Linux

If i connect my server with dolphin, and try to _delete_ files with right click, it says 'access denied to trash:/'.

And i dont use "move to trash", i use "delete". If you delete something, it should dissapear, not go into trash.

Deleting files with "shift+del" works

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
1 Open dolphin
2.connect ftp server
3. right click file and choose "delete" (NOT 'move to trash')

Actual Results:
error 'access denied to trash:/'

Expected Results:
file is gone

I use Mageia, but it does this in other distros too: http://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=18&p=210679#p206512

Could you take a look at comment #5 and #4 in bug 263483 and confirm my observation?

Yes, seems similar issue. "Delete" option is hidden in default dolphin menu, but if you enable it from settings, it should work also in ftp folders. Now it doesnt. It tryes to behive like "move to trash" option.

i can confirm this bug on kubuntu 11.10 kde 4.7.3 - but it does not happen on my workstation with my mainserver (using ubuntu 8.04 on the server and ispcp to configure web/ftp users)

it happens while using a live usb stick (at work) in combination with my testserver (using ubuntu 11.10 and webmin to configure ftp users)
