Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.1) OS: Linux On my FTP there are some weird permissions, so I don‘t have permissin to write on the root directory but on sub directories. Whenever I want to delete a file on the root level, its context menu shows “Delete [Shift+Del]” which would be fine. When pressing Del key, however, which I am used, the correct Delete dialog pops up but after dismissing that dialog, a message appears: “Cannot move to trash:/”. When I press Shift+Del the file get deleted just fine. Reproducible: Sometimes

This happens with my KDE 4.6.5 also.. Except I always use the mouse right-click context menu to delete files.. I am on my desktop computer, and use samba connection in dolphin to manage files on my laptop with out having to switch back and forth between computers, and when the context menu comes up, it says "Delete" but when I click that, the dialog that comes up asking if I am sure has two buttons that say "Move to trash" and "Cancel".. And of course it errors if I choose trash because it is a remote connection.. If the original context menu says "Delete", then the confirmation dialog should not switch to "trash" when it comes up.. That makes no sense.. Whether they say delete or trash, the context menu and confirmation dialog should both say the same thing..
