Version: unknown (using 4.1.3 (KDE 4.1.3) "release 4.10.4", openSUSE 11.1) Compiler: gcc OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.27.23-0.1-pae I had my icons arranged nicely for months. I made the mistake of arranging icons by name. Now I am not able to move icons around. They just fly right back where they came from. This was before the current kernel version. I went and did updates thinking it might fix it. Silly me. Renaming ~/.kde4 directory results in the same behavior. No, wait. I did get a plasma crash with sigterm 11. This is aggravating. I'm pretty sure I saw a similar bug report when trying to report this a couple days ago, but I can't find it any more. If you need any files or logs, let me know where to find the evidence.
You didn't check the "Lock icons in place" option by any chance?
It really isn't there. Both off the desktop right click as well as folder view settings dialog. I tried putting it there restarting x and removing it again. To no avail.
