Description Sputnik 2009-02-25 14:43:48 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

It would be good to have the option to set transparency to plasma widgets.

* Setting a specific transparency to a plasmoid may help to focus on a special plasmoid.

* Giving plasmoids transparency may help to give the desktop a seemless look as transparency naturally integrates the background.

* It may be the case that the background is more important than a plasmoid.

* If one uses slideshows or moving backgrounds tranparent plasmoids will be less 'in the way'.

* Transparent plasmoids that are less 'in the way' are sometimes able to get drawn bigger. This may help to still see enough details.
