I'm on KDE 4.2.0, i noticed that kontact crashes when switching to calendar tab, and so i tried to launch just korganizer and it is the one who crashes:

The application KOrganizer (korganizer) crashed and caused the signal 11 (SIGSEGV).

This is probably because you have some binary attachment in some event. Look at bug 168367 / and bug 159247

Can you tell me what version of libical you have installed on your system?

This should have been fixed in libical-0.41 or libical-0.42.. can't remember which.

Perfect, installed libical-0.43 (the ubuntu package is 0.33) and korganizer is back to life!

Glad to hear it.

This is one of my most hated bugs.  And I put quite a lot of time into fixing libical to make this work.

I was upset to think it was still broken.  But very happy to hear the newer libical works for you.
