Version: (using KDE 4.1.0) Installed from: Gentoo Packages When the global SingleClick variable is set to false, the embedded file viewers -- like the ones on the left side of Kate and Amarok or the top area of K3B -- still perform in single-click mode. These types of embedded file viewers should respect the SingleClick=false setting.
Which widget style are you using?
Oxygen. Same thing happens with Plastique. Dolphin, konqueror, file-->open/save, etc respect singleclick=false, but the embedded file viewer used on the left side of kate and amarok does not respect singleclick=false.
This seems to me to be a bug in KDirOperator (kdelibs/kfile/kdiroperator.cpp) which is used directly by kate and indirectly in the file open dialog (through KFileWidget). I can confirm that both the embedded type and file open dialogs exhibit this bug. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 167909 ***
File-->Open works as expected with kate. The side file browser does not work as expected with kate.
Hej, that's fixed now in current SVN trunk version.
I'm a beginner, so sorry if I've missed something, but what is the fix for this?
