I tried some osx widgets (which unfortunately all did not work). Afterwards I removed them from my desktop, but I cannot find a way to uninstall them, so they keep showing up in the 'Add widgets' window.

There's no UI for removing things from plamoids. Now that Plasma supports Google Desktop widgets and Dashboard widgets in 4.2, being able to easily remove them is important
