Version: SVN: Version 0.10.0-beta2 (rev.: 832007) (using KDE 4.0.83) A filmstrip mode, in which some thumbnails are visible in the View mode, would be a welcome addition to Digikam. Bug 131601 asks for something similar, yet different, so this is not a dupe. The difference here is that 131601 requests previews in the thumbnail view, where the thumbnails are the major attraction in the view and the preview image is smaller. In this proposal, the picture is the main attraction, and the thumbnails are smaller.

1) I see that F-Spot has this function. It is very nice, with a good scrolling effect when moving between pictures. I highly recommend the Digikam devs take a look at F-Spot for this feature and others. 2) I wanted to move this to the View Component, but I don't see one. I am learning which bugs belong in which components, but no current Components jump out at me as being an obvious place for View Mode bugs. Thanks.
I think I don't understand you.... digiKam has a "filmstrip" in image view mode...
0.10 has filmstrip in preview mode.
I am sorry, I did not notice the little separator bar at the bottom. Only by quickly toggling Ctrl-T did I find it. Sorry for the noise.
