Version: (using KDE 4.0.83) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux I would like to see some more options for folder view, foremost among them being the option to view recursively. For instance, I have a folder called ~/me/docs/, within which are several subdirectories. I want to see all the *.od*, *.sla, and *.xcf files in docs and all subdirs. A tree view option might be nice too.
I originally wanted to request that you move this to component widget-folderview, but alas you have already done so. Thanks! Also I thought I remembered a quite similar feature request. While none were really similar, here are some I found: filtering undesired files http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=163692 filtering for mime-type http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=164272 browsing inside folder view: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=163848 the potential power of folderview as opposed to a static desktop seems to dawn to a few people :)
Oh and I forgot: Nepomuk will probably get you these features for free. Further reading: http://blog.lydiapintscher.de/2008/06/14/folderview-is-the-awesome/ screenie: http://blog.lydiapintscher.de/wp-content/folderviewnepomuk.png
