Description Raphael Borg Ellul Vincenti 2008-06-26 17:41:42 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.0.83)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

I like using the plasma desktop by switching on the Plasma Dashboard. This creates an opacity tint to the aplications which are currently running and displays in the foreground the items on my desktop.

When copying a file from one folder to another the tint was preserved. If I were to copy the file again, an alert box telling me that the file already exists is displayed. This alert box resets the opacity to 100% and the applications come back in the foreground.

The state of the plasma dashboard should remain the same.

this is because it's shown as another window. this requires a bunch of screen management to happen that we aren't currently doing; there's a SoC project that may be useful here, however.

How is the SoC project progressing related to this bug ?
