Version:           unknown (using 4.0.4 (KDE 4.0.4), Gentoo)
Compiler:          i686-pc-linux-gnu-gcc
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.24-tuxonice-r8

I download or copy a  file to ~/Desktop fold, then an icons is created on the desktop. When I remove the icons by  right-click menu, the icon disappears. I logout then login, the icon appear on the desktop. I delete the file on the ~/Desktop fold, that's work well.
